Credits and Billing Policy

1. Prepaid Credits

VibeKey operates on a prepaid credit system. You purchase credits, which are added to your account balance. Usage is deducted from your balance based on model and token consumption. Requests stop when your balance reaches $0, before reaching a model provider.

• Minimum first top-up: $10.00.
• After the first top-up, you may top up any amount between $1.00 and $500.00.
• Maximum single top-up: $500.00.
• There is no subscription. You only pay for the credits you add.

2. Payment Processing Fees

Payment processing fees (Stripe standard rate of 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction) are added at checkout and charged to the customer. These fees are not deducted from your VibeKey credit balance.

3. Usage Pricing

Usage is billed by model and token consumption. VibeKey adds a standard infrastructure fee on top of the underlying provider cost to cover routing, spend caps, rate limits, provider controls, usage tracking, and the dashboard. Current pricing is visible on the pricing page.

4. Balance Hard Stop

When your prepaid balance reaches $0, VibeKey stops accepting new billable requests before they reach a model provider. This protects you from surprise usage charges. You can resume usage by adding more credits.

5. Credit Expiration

Prepaid credits do not expire while your account is active. Accounts with no activity for 12 months or more may be reviewed, and inactive balances may be forfeited after reasonable notice.

6. Refunds

Prepaid credits are non-refundable except where required by law or for billing errors or fraud. If you believe there is an error in your billing or usage, contact us at hello@usevibekey.com.

7. Chargebacks and Disputes

If you dispute a payment through your bank or payment provider, your VibeKey account may be suspended until the dispute is resolved. Fraudulent chargebacks may result in permanent account closure.

8. Price Changes

Provider model prices may change. VibeKey updates customer pricing when providers update their pricing. Material price changes will be communicated through the VibeKey website or dashboard.

10. Taxes

You are responsible for any applicable taxes, duties, or fees imposed by your jurisdiction on prepaid credits or usage of the VibeKey service.

9. Usage cost disclaimer

AI usage costs are not fixed and may vary based on:

• model provider and model selected
• number of input and output tokens
• request complexity and response length
• routing behavior based on your selected lane and project settings

VibeKey may update routing behavior and underlying models as provider pricing, availability, and performance change. Provider pricing may change at any time without notice. VibeKey reflects updated pricing as soon as practical.

All usage is deducted from your prepaid balance. The usage dashboard displays the actual provider, model, tokens, and cost for each request.
